Typographic Designer Poster
Design Statement
At the beginning of the project, I felt apprehensive about the possibility of my poster resembling the work of my chosen designer, David Carson, too closely. However, through research and conceptual development, I was able to step back and find my own voice while drawing inspiration from their distinctive style. This process taught me the importance of reinterpretation—how to honor a designer's legacy while allowing my creativity to flourish.
I am thrilled with the outcome of my poster, as it encapsulates not only the essence of David Carson but also my personal understanding and interpretation of their philosophy. The interplay of the typography, color palette, and overall composition reflects my deep appreciation for the craft and the ways in which type can shape our perceptions.
